A Venture Capital company is looking for an interim Fund Accountant to play a critical role in managing the financial operations of our investment funds. You will work closely with the finance and investment teams to ensure accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of fund activity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing venture capital firm, contributing to our mission of supporting innovative startups and driving investment success.Maintain accurate accounting records for all investment funds, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations including FoF investments.Monitor capital activity, including contributions, distributions, and transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with fund documents.Calculate and record fund expenses, management fees, and performance fees.Reconcile cash balances and investment positions regularly.Prepare LP/GP capital calls/distributionsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for investment funds in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).Assist in the preparation of investor reports, including capital account statements and fund performance metrics.Work with external auditors to support the annual audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
